Tiller Installation

TILLERLOCK INSTALLATION

1. POSITION END OF TILLER LOCK APPROXIMATELY HALF WAY OF TILLER LENGTH.
2. MARK HOLES, USE 1/8" DIA. DRILL AND DRILL PILOT HOLES. INSTALL TILLERLOCK.
3. USE 5/16" OR 3/8" DIA. LINE. LONG ENOUGH TO SPAN THE COCKPIT PLUS 24". LOCK THE LINE HALF WAY IN THE TILLERLOCK.
4. STRETCH LINE TOWARDS BOTH SIDES OF COCKPIT, WITH SLIGHT ANGLE AFT. MARK BOTH LOCATIONS ON SIDE OF COCKPIT.
5. ON THAT MARK INSTALL TWO PADEYES. ATTACH THE LINE.

Please note that it is not always necessary to attach pad eyes to your boat.
Often, it works out very well if you simply tie off the lines to the uprights
on your stern pulpit..
